PRESENT EXPIRINCE

I am working as consultant Orthopaedic and Traumatology since 2003, and i am having  operating experience in Trauma, Total Knee Replacement (TKR), Total Hip Replacement (THR), and  Spine surgeries.

PREVIOUS EXPIRIENCE

CLINICAL ATTACHMENT IN AUSTRIA

In June 2000 I completed an attachment at the Univ. Klinik For Unfallchirurgie Hospital Vienna Austria. Under the guidance Prof. Vilmos Vescei. I attended morning teachings, word rounds, operation theatres, seminars and hand on training in surgical procedures including Arthroscopic procedures and become more familiar with the A/O Asif  system of fracture treatment. During my stay I gained experience in pre and post operative care of trauma patients, the emergency room management of severely injured patients, conservative management of fractures and general surgical techniques of fractures reduction and soft tissue management.

CLINICAL ATTACHMENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

I completed a clinical attachment in the Institute of orthopaedics at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital Oswestry, United Kingdom. Between Nov. 2000-dec-2000. During this clinical attachment, I had the pleasure of working under Prof. J.B. Richardson. I attended morning teaching and word rounds and also assisted Prof. Richardson in performing operation such as hip Resurfacing, Arthroscopy, Cultured cartilage implantation and Revision hip surgery.
I have also recently completed a clinical attachment in Royal Glamorgan hospital, South Wales, under the Mr. JP. Davies, in the Dept. of Trauma and Orthopaedics. During this attachment I gained further experience in general orthopaedics.

FELLOWSHIP IN PORTUGAL

In March 2003 I started my Post-Graduate Fellowship under USA Post  Graduate Education Progeram (ICOE Fellowship) at Garcia De orta Hospital Almada, Portugal. Under the guidance of Prof. Craveiro Loes. I was there to learn  ILIZAROV technique as well as Paediatrics Orthopaedics. During my 3 month stay I has assisted the deportment Medical Staff at the out clinic consultation, Emergency Room, Operating Room, Daily Clinical Meetings and word round. I specially work with Prof. Lopes on Limb lengthening and reconstructive Surgery with Ilizarov methodology and primary & revision THR &TKR. I had intensive hand –on about 250 surgeries on above mention fields.

PUBLICATION & PRESENTATION

1)      Morphological characteristics of humerus in a recent Bulgarian  population. Presented in a “Symposium international quartum anatomiae clinicae” in Varna Bulgaria Dec. 2000.

2)      Anatomical variations and morphometric characteristics of the  distal humerus in Humans” Published in a Journal of Anthropology,(Bulgarian anthropology society) Vol 4 2003.

3)      Recurrent Dislocation of Patella CT Scan Analysis” was presented in EFORT congress in 2003,
